On April 26th, 2013, the apartments of Mesdames—the daughters of Louis XV—were re-opened at Versailles. Six of the nine apartments of Mesdames have been newly restored and refurbished, returning them as much as possible to their former glory. According to the Chateau de Versailles, under the reign of Louis XV, the apartments of Mesdames were rivaled only by the apartments of the king.
